ROBOCON Robot Control

Electrical control system development for national robot competitions.

I worked in the MEI Competitive Robotics Lab on ROBOCON 2024 robot control systems.

The work covered dual-core controller integration, I2C and communication network design, TTL serial, RS485, CAN, cascaded PID control for velocity and position loops, and chassis control for omni-directional, mecanum, and steering-wheel platforms. I also integrated M3508, 2006, GM6020, and Sunny Sky motors with VESC, C610, and C620 drivers.

Selected outcomes:

  • Champion, ROBOCON Programming Challenge.
  • Third Place, ROBOCON Granary Challenge.
  • Fourth Place, ROBOCON Skill Challenge.
